a) How did the United States government make lands available to western settlers? The United States government makes lands available to western settlers by reservations land. Reservations land is area of federal land set aside for the Native Americans.

Then at a convention St .Louis in February 1892, the Alliances formed a new national political party.
A) In 1867,under the second treaty of fort Laramie, the government agreed to close the Bozeman trail, abandon the forts and provide reservation land to the Sioux.

ReplyDeleteThe government said that any U .S citizen could receive 160 acres of land .In exchange homesteaders promised to live on the land for five years.

I would have wanted to live here because they had a great style of living and hardly had any problems.

In Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1891, alliance leaders met with labor and reform groups. Then, at a convention in St. Louis in February 1862, the alliances formed a new national political party. The party was called the Populist Party. The were trying to gain greater power

It is 1875, and you are a member of the Sioux nation, and the U.S. government has asked you to leave your land (after initially promising not to take it away from you) because they have discovered gold in the Dakota Territory. Some Sioux leaders want to stay and fight, but others say that too many people will die. What would you do, and why? (3-4 sentence response)
I would of fight because I would of save my land my family and my gold and if people die I maybe ran away with my family.

1.The Plains depend on the horse and the buffalo. The plains Indians rode horses to hunt buffalo. Plains Indians used buffalo for food, shelter, clothing, utensils, and tools.
2.The U.S. soldiers discovered gold in 1874 an that led to the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
3.I thing they start fight because they lose there land and more people from native American died.
